Sunday Breakfast

Something triggered a memory I had of a wonderful afternoon my family and I spent at Longwood Gardens.  I lost myself in thought as I recollected the smiles and laughs we shared as we strolled through the beautiful landscape.  I find it nourishing and immensely gratifying to reflect on experiences like these and they inspire me to plan for future adventures.  Thinking about the past and planning for the future take up a pretty good chunk of my mental landscape.  Lately, I've begun to wonder if, maybe, a little too much.  After all, you can only spend so much time going through old photo albums before you realize you have another one to fill with brand new experiences.  Caught between memories of the past and plans for the future, here I am in the present, right here, right now.  It's ironic, being caught here, in the present, I have the freedom to shut down the laptop and join my family for that incredibly, deliciously smelling breakfast Linda just made for us....Somebody take a picture.
